Specialist in orthopedics and traumatology. Master in Arthroscopic Surgery Massimiliano Magaletti is an orthopedic surgeon specializing in arthroscopic knee, shoulder and ankle surgery and knee prosthetic surgery. After graduating in Medicine and Surgery at the University of Rome "La Sapienza" in 1991, he specialized in Orthopedics and Traumatology in 1997 at the same university. From 1994 to 1997 he was a visiting fellow at the Sports Medicine Department of the Hospital for Special Surgery in New York (USA), under the supervision of dr. Thomas Wickiewicz. From 1998 to 2000 he was assistant of prof. Vittorio Calvisi at the Functional Unit of Minimally Invasive Orthopedic Surgery at the De Cesaris Clinic in Spoltore (PE). In 2004 he received his Masters in "Arthroscopic Surgery" at the Faculty of Medicine of the University of L'Aquila. From 2000 to 2005 he was a 1st level medical director in the discipline of Orthopedics and Traumatology at A.S.L. of Rieti mainly dealing with arthroscopic surgery. From 2003 to 2006 he was professor of "Anatomy of the locomotor apparatus" of the degree course in Physiotherapy at the University of Rome "La Sapienza". Author of numerous articles and speaker at numerous national and international congresses, he is a member of the Italian Society of Orthopedics and Traumatology, of the Italian Society of Knee Surgery, Arthroscopy, Sports, Cartilage and Orthopedic Technologies and ordinary member of the Italian Society of Arthroscopy. Since 2006 he is part, together with Stefano Di Gennaro, Massimiliano Nocente and Emilio Romanini, of ArtroGruppo, dealing with the major orthopedic pathologies and the various elective surgical procedures indicated in the degenerative and traumatic pathology of the osteo-articular system, in particular of arthroscopic and prosthetic techniques.
